MUIAT

MUIAT is an honest contemporary circus show, where women are allowed to be exactly as they are and their qualities are not questioned. Finnish circus artists Iitu Kivimäki,Kamilla Nisso and Anniina Peltovako explore feminity and their experience of living as female through their own experiences, using circus techniques as a way of expressing. The show includes human pyramids, tightwire dancing and acrobatics. It aims to question old fashioned gender roles and tries to broaden the minds of the public, without forgetting humour.

Lenght: 40 min
Suitable for outside and inside spaces

Size of required space:
 6 x 7m , height 4,7m

Lips are getting wrinkly as the cheeks of Anniina are squeezed towards each other between Kamillas thighs. Kamillas feet are grounded on the floor and her ribs are pushed from the sides as Anniina is squeezing her arms around them. Iitus sweaty foot steps on top of Kamillas head messing the just made ponytail. The pressure builds up inside Iitus head while she puts her shoulders on top of Anniinas feet and lifts her own legs towards the ceiling. The hem of Iitus dress rises over her ears.

Kamilla smiles.
